But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials-gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. “ For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have-Jesus Christ. It is described in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, The judgment seat of Christ is a future event where believers will come before Christ to have their lives examined and be rewarded accordingly. What is the out come? Judgment Seat of Christ – 5 questions answered What is it? That’s why it’s important for us to have a proper understanding of what the Judgment Seat of Christ is. I Corinthians 13:12 Here is a unique scripture that is often discussed regarding knowing each other in heaven.The Judgment Seat of Christ is an exciting and glorious end time event that every believer should look forward to with great anticipation, however, many Christians fear and dread this event. I Corinthians 3:13 Every believers works will be tested by the fiery furnace of Christ's judgment. 5:9 I John 2:28 Titus 2:12-14 All these verses and more point to the fact that other than Jesus Christ, believers are the only ones addressed in this judgment. It is certain to be before the Lord returns at the end of the Tribulation. THE JUDGMENT I Corinthians 4:5 II Timothy 4:8 Revelation 19:8 The time of the judgment is thought to be shortly after the rapture. Jesus created all things, He paid for all things and He will judge all things. John 5:22-27 God the Father has turned over to the Son all judgment because it was the Son that paid the ransom for all mankind. We serve Him because we love Him, however, it is God (Revelation 22:12) that gives us the opportunity for rewards if we labor for Him. I Thessalonians 2:19-20 II Timothy 4:7-8 The Apostle Paul drew great courage and motivation in his walk of faith by the fact of rewards at the return of Christ. 5:1 8:1 I Corinthians 11:32 All these scriptures and more teach that once we are saved there is no more condemnation for sin. Judgment is not for sin: John 3:18 5:24 6:37 Rom. It is a doctrine often ignored and when it is mentioned it is often misinterpreted because of the term “judgment.” To be clear, this particular judgment is not for sin examination, it is strictly for the rewards or loss of rewards for the believers during our Christian life on earth before the rapture.
